Disinfect your cup between cycles by boiling it in a pot of water for 4-5 minutes. You can use tongs or a wire whisk to ensure your cup doesn’t touch the bottom of the pot while boiling.

P.S. don’t forget to also pop your storage bag in the laundry to thoroughly clean it.

THANK YOU!

I wanted a soft but semi-firm period cup. I’m quite an experienced cup user in my mid 20s and this cup is exactly what I wanted. It fits well, goes in and out easily and I don’t feel it at all once it’s in place. I empty it maxi twice a day on heavy days and only once on lighter days. I haven’t had any issues at all with the suction either. Leaks only happen when I’m in a rush and don’t put it in the correct position but aside from that I would recommend this cup to both beginner and experienced cup users. Also the packaging is super cute and I love everything about Ovira. I have their period pain relief device as well.

Definitely worth it

This is the first time I've ever used a menstrual cup, but even after just the first day, I was 100% converted! Using a cup allows me to go the entire day without even having to think about the fact that I'm on my period. The firmness of this cup works great for me - it always immediately seals when I insert it and I can't feel it unless I squeeze my muscles down there. As a first time user, I had a pretty hard time with insertion - I experienced a lot of discomfort when trying to get it in place and almost gave up, thinking I had the wrong size or something. I had been practising putting it in and taking it out before having to deal with the actual mess of period blood, but I was never actually able to get it inserted until I tried when I had my period. Something I was a little surprised by was just how messy (and sometimes difficult) it is to remove. I think the fact that it's a more firm cup makes for a quick and easy insertion but a more difficult removal process, whereas a soft cup would be the opposite. Maybe you just have to choose which you would prefer. But all-in-all, I can't imagine a better menstrual cup and I'm SO glad I chose this one!

Amazing assistance from the Ovira team…

This is by far the best cup I’ve ever tried. I’ve gone through like 4 menstrual cups however I constantly have issues with leaking so I was so ready to give up and go back to using tampons. The ovira cup has by far been the easiest to insert and it suctions so easily. I think it’s because the silicone is super high grade and it’s more flexible around the edges compared to the other brands that I’ve used. This also makes it a lot easier to remove.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I’m a first time cup user and was so glad I made the switch to the cup. I read and watched a lot of videos on how to use a cup before getting it so that I’d know what to expect. The c fold is the easiest fold for me and people always say that there’s a steep learning curve when it comes to period cups but the ovira cup had virtually no learning curve for me. My first time using it, I found it super easy to insert and it popped open really easily. I love that I can’t feel that I’m wearing it and it’s also just so much cheaper than buying tampons and pads every month.

Best product and Customer Sevice!

I'm 24 and exclusively used pads before switching over to a cup. I’ve always felt weird about putting things inside me so I was weary about switching over but I know many other women who switched and always said such great things about cups. I decided to go with ovira because of their glowing reviews online and I really liked the company in general after learning more. There was not really a learning curve for me. The cup is comfortable to insert and remove, I don't feel it at all when it's inserted unless I insert it at the wrong angle (which has only happened once in the 4 cycles I've used it now). I love using cups, I don't even feel like I am on my period and just feel cleaner overall. I'm so happy I switched and recommend it to anyone considering it!
